Expert game analysis

Yes, my first impression of him was that of a guy who can give us solid minutes off the bench. He better be able to because without Pig we are very thin on the frontline. Nance most certainly needs to work on his team defense because he goofed a couple of times. He will learn.

I thought Goldwire looked solid even though his shot was off. He made an attempt to run the team which was no easy task in that mess of a game. He will have some growing pains against upgraded competition but that is to be expected.

I have similar feelings about Drayton, he looked wiry, quick and had a good nose for the ball but will probably struggle at times early on. He can't dribble at all with his left hand but I guess that is why he is here instead of a top 5 program.

Bottom line from Coach Barry: I wouldn't pull Mitch, Curtis and probably Eddie off the floor until their tongues drop. Plav would play the majority of the minutes at the 2 with Sager getting quite a bit. I would like to throw Iti in with that group but after his inconsistent play last year, off-season stunts and his lackluster performance Tuesday, I just don't know what to expect from this guy. I think his biggest problem may be he just simply isn't as good as he thinks he is. The court is still out on the 3 newbies but i think they will be okay.

 

Think I agree, but I would throw Plav in there with your first three horses, unless matchups dictated otherwise.

Should be a fun season.
