With a little bit of knowledge you could import your data into and Access database, or not, because you can actually use Excel workbooks in Access by creating Excell objects, blah blah blah.

If you were willing to learn some very simple programming and learn how to record macros you could actually add buttons to an Excel worksheet and launch other Excel worksheets from the one. You could even pay a hosting service for a web site and upload your updated files to the hosting service and when the Excel worksheet is launched it can be programmed to connect to the web site and check to see if there is an updated version of itself on the web site. It could then down load the updated version and put it in the proper directory with the proper file name.

Access would be my preferred method of doing this based upon what you have described but Excel would work just as well it's just not what Excel was really designed to do.

In any case, you really don't need to learn anything about maintaining a server. Your needs as far as a server goes are very simplex from what I can tell here. All you really need is a GOOD hosting service. Let them worry about maintaining the equipment and the data connections, security etc while you worry about your software and your updates.

    My two cents worth.

You could enter that shit in the workbooks.

    Go on now.
