Our church as adopted EVOLUTION as our "umbrella theme" for 2009. Essentially it's a theme that will dictate our goals as a church for the upcoming year (our first full year as a church). I put this video together over the last few days and debuted it yesterday morning.

All the content was generated in house. The background video (driving from I-40 to our church's front door) was shot by me riding shotgun in our pastors car on New Year's Eve. The sermon snippits come from one of our first sermons back in October about the future of our church. The background music was created in Garageband. All said, I've got about 40 hours in a just over 1 minute video, but I'm really happy with the result. Hope you enjoy.

I don't believe his name has come up, no. Evolution refers to the church evolving as we move forward.

So you admit that evolution is a fact. Nice to know.

Of course. You'd have to be an idiot not to. Things evolve all the time. Does that mean I think my great great great great (ad naseum) grandfather was a paramecium? Not necessarily.

The whole "Creationism v Evolution" debate is not the point of this post or the video. I'm curious as to why you'd bring it up. Is it to have an honest discussion or is it just to troll? If it's to have an honest discussion, start a thread about it and we'll discuss. If it's just to troll, I think you're in the wrong forum.

I just find it interesting that you would name a Christian Church "Evolution", seeing as how the two differ in their theories as to how life came to be.

The name of the church is Renaissance Road - Evolution is just the name of the sermon series.

Evolution can refer to other things than the Darwinian theory of the creation of the Earth.

Just to clarify, Darwins theory has nothing to do with the creation of the Earth.

You're the one that evoked his name. Regardless, this is off topic. Take it somewhere else, please.
