The main courtyard is coming along nicely with the big baseballs. I can't wait to see the big water fountain.

Its such a wonderful setting to watch a ball game. Its like a mini-major league park. I'm eqaully excited about the proposed development next door to the stadium which will be like a mini-village with more than 300 condos and apartment including live-work units and a hotel overlooking left field. Many of the buildings in the development will be mid-rise having office or retailers on the first floor and residential units on the upper floors. One of the residential buildings may even have a mini-super market like the harris Teeter in uptown Charlotte. This proposed development in downtown Greensboro will be called Bellemeade Village and is one of the largest "urban" develpments in Greensboro's history. Because much of the land will be occupied by buildings, green space, courtyards and cafe's, much of the parking will be underground. If it had not been for the ballpark, this proposal would not be feasible. It really is a grand project though even by Charlotte standards.

can't wait to catch some games there. If the team does well this season that park will stay packed all summer.

Hey Cityboi, do you run the chamber of commerce up there?

When I was in the G, I loved War Memorial. It was an old dumpy shithole, but it whipped serious ass. Nice to see they recreated that little deck area in left field.

Man that park is fantastic looking. What kind of money are we talking for tickets. I think Greensboro should compete for triad dollars nicely with the Warthogs. I tend to spend more time in Greensboro than Winston so I will have to watch some games.

no I'm not with the chamber, ticket prices average out at $7.00 a seat. You've gotta come out sometime.
