Check out Jaded - they are pretty good.

Tina Yothers is the frontman for the band (yeah - the girl from Family Ties):

I disagree with Twinks. Evanescence album has several hard rocking tunes. The album is awesome. There are several songs where they break out the choir which I'm assuming you are looking for, for the opera effect. I highly recommend the album.

I was surprised when Ben Moody left the band back in October. Even more surprised when he surfaced as a song writer for Avril Laveine (sp) I am hoping that Evanescence goes forward ala No Doubt when band couples break up and the band hits it's stride. The song title escapes me but track one on Fallen rocks a little. It's in my clock radio/CD player I wake up to. That and Amy Lee is Smoking hot IMO

siouxsie is goth. old goth. not operatic or industrial. but...if you're interested in her try tinderbox, through the looking glass, hyena, kiss in the house of dreams.

i would suggest medicine, my life with the thrill kill kult...confessions of a knife album in particular but sexplosion isn't bad either, really pretty much anything off of the old wax trax label for that matter. front line assembly had some cool sounds as well. sisters of mercy...first and last and always is a good one if you can still find it. another one that might be hard to find is tones on tail...very atmospheric music with great lyrics and some nice feedback/synth sounds. love and rockets, a band related to tones on tail, had a couple of interesting things...mainly on 7th dream of teenage heaven and express albums. some nine inch nails...pretty hate machine and broken had some good stuff. ministry was another good one with a heavy industrial sound...there was a spin-off of sorts from ministry called 1000 homo djs that did a cover of sabbath's supernaught that just ROCKS...worth getting if you see it. nitzer ebb was another pretty good industrial band.
