You have the FIFA rules, including the referee instructions that start on page 110. Please post the specifc text - from the referee instructions - that say a tackle from behind is an automatic red.

It is interesting that you have now changed your stance from "it's in the rules" to "no, it's not specifically in the rules, but listed in the referee instructions area. Just more proof that you will do and say anything to try to keep from having to admit that you're wrong.

We have all seen the quote of what he said. It is particularly funny that you are trying to pull out a snippet of what he said to validate your position though.

He closed with saying that you might be able to get away with some tackles from behind, didn't he?

Here is the text from page 117, it's not looking like it says anything of the sort that you claim, in fact it's not even on the topic that we are dicsussing.

    Celebration of a goal
While it is permissible for a player to demonstrate his joy when a goal
has been scored, the celebration must not be excessive.
Reasonable celebrations are allowed, but the practice of choreographed
celebrations is not to be encouraged when it results in excessive
time-wasting and referees are instructed to intervene in such
    cases.
A player must be cautioned if:
    • in the opinion of the referee, he makes gestures which are provocative,
    derisory or infl ammatory
    • he climbs on to a perimeter fence to celebrate a goal being
    scored
    • he removes his shirt or covers his head with his shirt.
    • he covers his head or face with a mask or other similar item
Leaving the fi eld of play to celebrate a goal is not a cautionable offence
in itself but it is essential that players return to the fi eld of play as soon
    as possible.
Referees are expected to act in a preventative manner and to exercise
common sense in dealing with the celebration of a goal.

That's interesting that you claim to have seen that text in there, when a search on that text comes up with no matches in the current set of rules.

    Caught lying again, I see.

Please explain how getting away with the tackle from behind depending on the severity means that it's an automatic red card.

I have a feeling this is going to end somewhere along the lines of, "Meet me at the flagpole, bitch".

    Sad.

I couldn't sleep last night thinking about this thread. the anticipation of all the new posts was killing me.

can anyone tell me why you don't see more of those somersault throw-ins? How 'bout the back-kick on penalty shots? Don't see that very much anymore.

FUFU rules have determined the somersault throw-in to be 'unsportsmanlike'.

FUFU considers the back-kick an 'endangerment to the opponent'.

VP and Collin were arguing about anti-American sentiment in Europe and Collin said that anti-American graffiti was common to provide an example of this he posted some pics of guard rails spray painted with mean slogans- this wasn't his only evidence but it became the one everyone decided to pick on.
