I absolutely loved that movie. Very thought provoking, in the whole "what if" and whether you'd take everything in life with its imperfections again, and so on, but also shot really well.

I've been meaning to see that, but everytime we go rent a movie, it's always out.

just watched it again last night with the director and the writer talking over the whole movie. very interesting. what a fantastic job of direction. such interesting camera tricks -- he doesn't like "fixing" anything in post-production, so he has techniques with the lens, or film speed, or lighting to accomplish a lot of the "special effects".

and the story is so sweet. makes you think -- a lot. works on so many levels.

    here's the production notes

Yeah. I mean, would you still date her? Would you still go through the hurt, and the fun, and the yelling? Not Kate Winslet, of course. Just "her". Fill in the blank for everyone who ever had a relationship that was "the one" and then wasn't.

i was thinking about the whole -- our past relationships are jsut our memories. relationships = mother, father, sister, brother, cousins, girlfriends, co-workers...and that they all eventually die out/get erased/disappear. we've got to work to keep them alive.

also, think about that everytime he was talking to clemintine in his mind, he was actually talking to himself.

    good flick. a 3-watcher.

yeah, all that as well. Though this, obviously, was forced memory departure.

One thing I was thinking about with this was how deep our memories can go. A two year relationship can have roots so much further back.
