Chris B made me laugh... as you know they are limited as to what they can say in a short period of time...

Chris B. (not SandMan) says.... Can Winky Dinky do it.... NO!. :D

Actually I liked what I saw when Weinke had balls to the wall... a little more time he MIGHT have done it... now if someone can KEEP that fire lit under his ass for the whole game we could be DAMN good from that spot

Winky lost the respect of his team the first few games this year when he pouted... Let Winky Start and we'll do no better over 6 games. Let Winky start and you'll see our 3 and out count climb up, up, up...

Smith dropped three passes that killed drives. All thrown by Weinke, but you can't put that on Chris! He put the ball in a place that Smith could catch it and he didn't. We need another WR to step up and Smith needs to move to the #3 spot, plain and simple.
Sorry, but Weinke isn't the scape goat. Once again, like in years past and in games not even involving the Panthers, it's a change in D philosophy when trying to protect a lead.
Three weeks in a row, three losses. The Panthers have lost three consecutive games in the final five minutes. That's 15 minutes away from being 6-0! All because of softening pressure with a small lead in hopes that the clock will run out before they score more than us.
One can't put it all on the defense, the offense hasn't produced enough to win games and the D has had to win for us. That's the formula anyway.
Something has to change in the Panthers fourth quarter philosophy. If the offense is going to lay down, then the D has to stick with the gameplan that helped get the O in that position. OR the offense has to be a little more aggressive in passing situations and actually pass the damn ball.
It's a great gameplan for the first three and a half quarters, but the game is four quarters long. We're going in to a two minute type of gameplan trying to protect a lead...when there is five minutes left on the clock.

You guys remember when ESPN had sandy do his mort report type thing and he said all this on tv. Cuz, ya know, he interviewed the players and they told him about how they lost respect for Weinke. It wasn't called the mort report, what was it.... oh yeah it was like "this week's shit from sandy."

Just another example of how someone can't stick to the point of the thread, this is not about me or you WYDD - add to the point, disagree with me thats fine, right now your response is childish.

Oh he will put everything on Weinke, except success. Weinke had nothing to do with Deon Grants not knocking the ball down instead of going for pick, he wasn't on the field when the defence gave up the go ahead score yet Sandi continues to harp on Weinke. Like a skipping record that most have long since ignored

yeah, I remember that. In the newspaper business it's called "justify to fit."

Not only does he have no idea what the team thinks of Weinke, but the statement ""Let Winky start and you'll see our 3 and out count climb up, up, up..."

is untrue not only because our third down conversions have already been bad, but also that the only third downs we didn't convert with Weinke at quarterback were ones in which we ran. Bah, details.

I agree, Winky did not lose the game. He did nothing to take the start away from Peete either. If Peete is injured then fine, I don't like it but I understand Winky is #2. But understand, #1 one is still Peete's if he is healthy.

Get back to me after Winky has started 6 games and let me know if the 3 and out count improves, but oh yea, I forgot, he'll have Foster in a few more, should he start... Bottom line, we will see some new faces here next year at QB.. :D
