And the Bobcats gave up a future second round pick. Hilarious.

Unbelievable. I've defended the 'cats in the past, but this is mind boggling.

The Phoenix Suns have completed a deal with the Charlotte Bobcats to acquire high-scoring swingman Jason Richardson, according to NBA front-office sources.

The multiplayer deal will require the Suns to part with forward Boris Diaw and defensive ace Raja Bell, two mainstays from the team that averaged 58 wins over the last four seasons under former Suns coach Mike D'Antoni.

The Suns will also receive a future second-round pick from the Bobcats and forward Jared Dudley while sending Sean Singletary to the Bobcats.

Trading away a proven scorer, something this offensively challenged team needs more of, for ANOTHER non scoring forward and a defensive player. WTF is this about? Giving the Knicks a run on players in 2010? :willy_nilly:

An old, highly paid defensive player at that.

    I hate Michael Jordan.

Boris Diaw should fit nicely. I hate to see JR and JD go but the BCats have too many wing players. Bell is a taller defensive guard which Felton and DJ are not, Diaw gives them another big who can help Omeka.hes actually pretty damn good. Im sure they would have traded Mays fat ass if there was a taker.

If you ask me...the trade is pretty much a sign that we're waiving the white flag for this season already...not exactly what you should be telling the fans when you wanna put butts in the seats.

We are so weak down low, that J-Rich was never really effective enough to make our team that much better. So in a way having him leave may be the better thing in the long term. I wonder if we will end up keeping Singletary as a backup which would allow us to throw somebody like Felton on the trading block for somebody that we have a greater need for?

Good trade, you don't build teams around Jason Richardsons (Golden State tried it and it failed). Brown is replicating his team in Detroit with this buildup, the only thing he lacks is a good decision making PG, but I think he can live with Augustin there.

PG - Smart PG who can hit big shots (hopefully Augustin can do this)
SG - Moving at all times in the offense and screened for (Sacrafice here, no way is anyone on our team close to approaching Hamilton's shooting).
SF - Long athletic wing who can score inside and out
PF - Inside out Versatile forward
    C - Undersized rebounder/garbage man
