I was fine with everything you said, until the last line.

Step away from the pipe. No way ASU would survive a Big 10 schedule. they beat Michigan (deserved to win it--they were hungrier), but they wouldn't beat Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State....therefore, they wouldn't be Big 10 champs.

they will, however, rule the SoCon, and reach the NCAA title game once again.

It was a joke......Even coach Moore said the Apps wouldn't want to play two or even three DI teams in a season.

ASU have new set of fans

All I want to say is that ASU has a lot more fans from the Big 10 division now. I believe I heard on the news that Ohio has ordered like 2,000 shirts from the Boone area to wear when they play Michigan. Check out youtube - they have a lot of good videos on ASU's win not upset.

I don't think that they belong among the elite of Division 1-A, but they certainly could hang with most of the middle of the pack teams in most conferences.

As an ASU alumni, I disagree. They might win 2 games in the ACC with one being Duke. They played the game of a lifetime and caught a giant sleeping.

I wouldn't be surprised if they drop a few games this season with the hangover they will have.

I think this hangover is unavoidable. It's not like they had it easy in 1AA the last two years. They had to scrap it out and needed some luck to get by several games a season.

edit: ok, they pretty much rolled last season other than the NCSU opener and the championship game

I can't dispute his success, although I'm still flummoxed by his decision to kick from 1st and goal with 30 seconds still left on the clock. I share chip's feeling, though. Lenoir Rhyne is no challenge, but they better be prepared for Northern Arizona the week after. Then playing at Furman is never easy.
