ESPN MLB 2k5

we rented 2k5 and its not half as good as mvp from last year. ea added single a teams this year, so now you can play almost all the minor league teams. 2k5 you can only call up and send people down to aa and aaa, of which you only have 25 players in your farm system (do the math, that ain't close to right).

the gameplay of 2k5 doesn't compare to mvp in my opinion. its way too busy and sketchy to say the least. their presentation with espn is nice, and the graphics are good, but if you're looking for gameplay and depth of franchise control then mvp is much much better.

we checked it out because of the $20 price tag, but i'm glad we didn't go on and buy it. we took it back a few days early because we were back to playing mvp2004 anyways. $50 vs $20 is a no-brainer i say. we're spendin the $50.

 

yeah mvp 2005 rocks, they fixed most of the problems, like pitcher covering first correctly

 

exclusive licenses blow ass...

 

yeah, this is the last year for MVP. But at least EA still has Madden!

well at least they'll have to upgrade madden with a new engine for the next consoles, because to me madden more or less plays like it did when it was a launch title on the ps2...pretty sad.

but this isnt a madden thread, just venting over shitty exclusive deals.

hopefully, they'll make the big leap like the leap from psx madden to ps2 madden. Kinda have to wonder though, if NFL2k on DC didn't kinda force them to have a killer madden ready for the ps2.
