    i got this on friday and Barry Bonds isn't anywhere on the game. They even have a list of all-time records and it lists Mark McGuire's 70 HRs as the single season record. Anyone know what's up with this?

    he's not a member of the player's union or some shit, so they can't use his name in the MLB games.

    There was a period of the NBA games that couldn't use Jordan's name in it. There was always a guy named Player #23 on the Bulls.

    thats correct. He hasnt been in a game for a few years actually I think. Kevin Millar isnt either and a few others arent allowed in because of the strike. EA could easily make a Barry Bonds baseball game, and they probably would except the steroid stuff is gonna keep people away from endorsements with him.

    EA has some white guy normall playing left field that has all of Bonds' stats. Go change his race and Name and you've easily got Bonds. Not sure if Sega does something similar.

    I know millar isnt in because he was a replacement player or whatever. I remember a few other guys left out because I used to edit them all back, but I havent played a MLB game in a while...

    How's the game? EA's whipped a lot of ass last year, but 20 bucks is such a good price.

    I like it, but I don't think I've played a baseball game since Bases Loaded on Nintedo so I dont have much to compare it to. For $20 I think it's worth it. It has some classic stadiums which I think is pretty cool.

    I buy pretty much strictly based on how good the franchise mode is.
