Charlotte is one of the better cities for basketball in the whole country. There is no reason the Hornets should have failed. Shinn is probably the worst owner in the history of sports. He could not sell basketball in North Carolina. He would probably lose money selling life jackets to beach goers just before the tsunami hit.

Thelt, you can't really say the Hornets "failed" here. I mean, their attendance over their 14 year history here averaged over 21500 per game. No other NBA franchise in history can boast lifetime attendance that high. Had Shinn ran the Hornets as a business, say like Richardson runs the Panthers, right now the Hornets would have a new arena in Charlotte and still be NBA attendance champ. In New Orleans, Shinn has a hell of a deal, but he'll fuck that up, too. No other city will guarantee him a profit out of tax dollars. The NBA needs to force Shinn out. He's too stupid to be a team owner.
