It's a kids book as far as I know. It became popular a few years back - lots of Harry Potter fans got into it. I know both my kids read it. Said it was good. I figured I would get around to reading it eventually.

It was always on one of the main displays at Borders forever so it was obviously a popular book.

    Movie trailer does look good.

the kid who wrote it wrote it when he was 16 or something. it's a fairly decent story but miles away from potter, narnia, rings, or the like.

You do find it in the young teen sections. Daughter read both of them and I have to admit I did as well. I agree not in the Harry Potter class but definitely worth reading. Eldest was book II.. The movie looks great. I know my daughter will have me there first night.
