ESPN Insider says the Braves wont give up giles for Hudson

It sounds like the braves will take Kevin Brown though...

The Phillies have some farm hands that I am sure the A's would love. I particular Ryan Howard. He can hit the piss out of the ball but plays behind Thome

Well Brave fans what are you guys going to do for pitching? Ortiz signed with the D-Backs, and Wright signed with the dark empire, the Yanks. Other than the Hudson deal which the Braves killed, I havn't seen or heard any rumors. I am not as sold on Lieber but it's still December. The Phils are still mentioned with Hudson and Pavano (long shots I am sure)

Sox are supposedly close with Pedro and signed David Wells of all people. I have mixed feelings about the Boomer signing because this is the same guy that said "I hate this fucking town" talking about Boston but he has good numbers at Fenway so we'll see with that. If Theo ends up signing Pedro then I'm thinking Pavano goes to NY.

none of that ever matters. Clemens went to NY didnt he? Talking trash about another team or city is just that, talking trash. I seriously doubt an athlete will turn down a contract simply because of something he said years ago.

Carl Pavano is close to signing with the New York Yankees Could be 46 million for 4 years. Thats a lot of coin for a guy that only has 2 winning seasons, 3 career complete games and a career era over 4. Hasn't he had some injury issues as well?

Braves took care of a little pitching. They traded a prospect to the Brewers for Danny Kolb (their closer) and now John Smoltz moves back into rotation
