No worries. All this stems from the fact that Sandy has to say something like this whenever a #1 pick is talked about for us.

Sandy, there's no reason or way that Pittsburgh would want to trade Ward.

Mag, your opinion does not matter to me... I can read the internet if I'm looking for your angle... looking for something out of the box here.

actually I don't read the internet for my opinion, and unlike your Ward story, I don't make things up either.

I say we trade up to the top 3 or trade way down. If we cant get Palmer, Leftwich or Rodgers, then trade down and pick up Witten and a pick in 2004. Is that possible?

both are possible, but there'll probably be a rush to trade down. We could take advantage of that trading up but trading down we may not get a whole lot.
For our needs, we either need to be top 5 or have three picks in the top 44.

Sand, I'd love to see Ward and the injured Bettis (torn cartiledge) here, but don't think it will happen. But I would make the trade, too, if I was Marty & JR.

My family still lives in Northwest PA - and Ward is the true heart & soul of the team - gives the offense toughness. If Hines is traded, there could be a revolt in the Steel City.

Thats too bad... But thats kinda what my thoughts are. I would give up our number one in a second for a top notch experienced WR and a RB that would obviously start over anything we have now. (He does not have to be a superstar obviously. ;) )
