Anybody got any suggestions on fighting through this for a pitcher? ANy quick re-hab tips would be appreciated!

I have one of those straps, but you can't pitch with it on. I've been using it when I lift and it does the trick for that. Might be stuck playing 1st all year? :worried:

try taking 3 ibuprofen every 4 hrs. for 10 days. and there are certain exercises bending your fingers forward starting with 1 then 2 so on and so on at night just don't know the whole jist of it. a therapist would know for sure.
you said that you had the strap, is that the one that goes on below the elbow and is velcroed to hold. if it is why can't you pitch with it on. if it wants to come off just tape it on with flesh color tape.

    Elbow

Hispeed....First of all you need to see a orthopedic specialist. And make sure it is someone that specializes in elbows. Not just a general ortho doctor. I currently have "tennis elbow" and I know what you are feeling. Keep wearing the strap when you are lifting because it gives support. Also use ice at least two or three times a day on the area and do your stretches for your wrist where you bring your hand down to stretch the top of your arm. I Highly suggets you also get a Physical Therapist so they can show you the excerise's correctly to get you back in shape. The pain comes from scare tissue in the elbow region. My physical therapist is working with me twice a week and I can actually hear the scare tissue crunching when he works on it!! I am fortunate that I live near Duke Medical center and they have one of the country's best sports medicine departments. Please go see a Orthopedic specialist and then get some physical therapy. Unfortunatly there is know quick rehab unless you catch this early and get some help!! Good Luck!!!!! :xyzthumbs

    Thanks for the pointers!

The strap is one of thise neopreen/velcro straps that is placed just below the elbow. If I remember correctly, the rule stipulate that any such aparatus is prohibited...I could be wrong?

I am supposed to throw some on 1/8, so I'll see how it is feeling then. It's become less frequent since I started wearing the strap, so maybe I just needed some support to prevent it from flairing up?

resting the arm will be the biggest help.

wear long sleeves over your strap.
