    What happened to him?? I thought he was a lock according to the niner fans. Guess the GM's must have watched the Conf USA "top defender" get schooled by Julius Hodge in that tourney game. Like I said and the niners can call all the names they want but this guy would have been all right in the ACC but nothing special. Looks like the NBA guys agree with me.

    Hell I hope Bickerstaff scours all the undrafted guys and brings a few in. This is a young team. I don't see why there wouldn't be a steal out there available. And I'd sure as hell invite Basden.

    Hey, as did every niner fuck with me in the week leading up to the game. You can kiss my ass. You guys got your ass beat and now I'm suppose to forget every fucking thing you guys said. And again how far off base was I puss boy. And you called me a tool on your board for saying Basden couldn't handle Paul in their tryout(As some of your fans had the gall to say. ) If stating the obvious makes you a tool then so be it.

    A thread about Eddie Basden and I said he (Eddie Basden) couldn't guard Chris Paul.(As some scholars on your board suggested) Yea your right. It didn't have anything to do with Basden, Whatever. And I'm the "fucking moron" Riiiiiiiiight

    Title of thread was Eddie Basden stock is falling. Your right All Eddie Basden references should have been forwarded to Wake Forest game, I guess.

    Former Charlotte star may sign free-agent deal with Chicago

    Former Charlotte 49ers star Eddie Basden, who wasn't chosen in the NBA draft Tuesday, will join the Chicago Bulls' summer-league roster and hopes to sign as a free agent with the team.

    Basden, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard/forward, averaged 15.2 points and 8.4 rebounds and was named Conference USA Player of the Year as a senior last season. His toughness, athleticism, defensive skills and strong work ethic attracted interest from several NBA teams, but not enough to land a spot in the draft.

    But about an hour after Tuesday night's draft ended at midnight, Basden said he received a call from Chicago general manager John Paxson.

    "He just said that you're going to play with us on a summer-league team and, more than likely, depending on how things go, we want to sign you," Basden said Thursday from his home in Washington.

    Basden said he will travel to Chicago on Friday for a weekend mini-camp and then go with the summer-league team to Las Vegas next week.

    "I never had any doubt in my mind that I was going to be in the mix, in the shuffle," Basden said. "I always kept faith and believed everything would work out for good."
