Ed Hoculi is a damn good official, probably the best in the league in explaining calls and rules.

Hochule is enjoyable. He, Red Cashion, and that black guy whose name I can't remember are my favorites.

ya know in my twenty some years of watching the nfl, the refs were just a part of the field. kinda like the turf. i don't i'm going to pay anymore attention to them than that.

Yes, and yes. They're both good officials, and probably the only ones worthy of the position that I know of.

Personally, I think all officials ought to be in the kind of shape both mentally and physically as those two. (Grier isn't a gym rat like Ed, but he's still in good shape.) Sometimes I'd like to see Hochule grab one of these whiny crybaby players or coaches by the shirt and threaten to kick their ass. That would be GREAT. :D

We need to bring Hoculi over to the ACC. Put the word on K and Williams.
