The GASTON GAZETTE reports that James & Renee Tysinger were arrested Tuesday for stealing about $158 worth of University of North Carolina merchandise from the Cracker Barrel’s Gastonia location.
What ill-gotten gains did the Tysingers try to take?
They took a UNC Tar Heels water pitcher that sells for $29.99, a Tar Heel cookie jar worth $39.99, a UNC T-shirt ($19.99), a Carolina clock ($29.99) and a UNC platter and soft basketball ($24.98), according to an affidavit. The Tysingers are also accused of stealing a set of Duke beverage coasters valued at $12.99.
They must be Tar Heel fans, not just because of the plethora of Carolina crap they stole, but also become the only Blue Devil merchandise they swiped was to be insultingly covered up by their Natty Lights.
Both Tysingers were charged with larceny, with James’ bond set at $1,000 & Renee’s at $500. That leaves the couple with a net loss of around $1,342.
That could sure buy a whole lot of Goo Goo Clusters.

Went to an ECU game last year, my sister and her family moved a couple of towns over from Greenville, lot of public support out there. That was a dumb response, not saying Cracker Barrel had to carry Pirate stuff, but they could have at least claimed to look into it.

Charlotte Pirate, how are the ticket sales looking for the Labor Day weekend ECU-V Tech game? I'm thinking about going, if the price is right for nosebleeds or behind the goalposts.

They are technically "sold out" but you should be able to easily find tickets on the street the morning of. Also, if you dont want to take that chance I could give you the two main message boards for ECU and VT (boneyardbanter.com & techsideline.com). Both sites have a section called Ticket Xchange. Just go in there and they have plenty of season ticket holders who cannot make the trip that weekend. Should be able to find them there. I believe face value for this particular game is $55 (could be wrong) but most people on those sites will just charge face.

I got very lucky this year as one of my friends got a suite for that game from her company.

Also...the endzones seem to be where they are putting all the students. (and kids in the young graduate level of the pirate and hokie clubs)

Best bet is try those two websites under ticket exchange or, if you live in charlotte, buy from a scalper the morning of. I doubt you will have to pay much over face if at all.

you guys playing West Virginia in Charlotte as well, or in Greenville?

I used talk a lot of shit on Boneyard banter when we played each other twice a year in basketball. Or was it called MingesManiacs?

I believe there was a mingesmaniacs, might still be, but it probably goes Boneyardbanter, then the Rivals site as the two most visited sites.

WVU will be in Greenville the following week Sept 6. Have to decide if I will be making a wedding in Hilton Head that weekend or going to the game in greenville.

Hopefully we can keep the score in the WVU game a little more respectable this year.
