From what I have seen so far, yes. Plus, NC has not exactly been a hot bed for PGs.

West Forsyth was one of my highschool's biggest rivals.

yeah I was trying to find a point guard from the west - Sleepy Floyd was the closest I got. Almost put him on there. Too early to tell on Paul - he may be the next Stephon Marbury ( which ain't a good thing)

another to add to the West list

    Danny Manning - Greensboro

And there are some out-of-state prepsters such as Floridian, McGrady (Mt. Zion) and New Yorker, Charlie Scott (Laurinburg). The most exciting fast break I ever saw often and in person was the young Charlie Scott's assists to the young Julius Erving with the young Virginia Squires.

Counting McGrady I count four* North Carolinians in USA Todays' first team hs All-Americans on this 20-year list: Stackhouse, Washburn, and Kenny Williams of Northeastern High, who was recruited by Dean Smith but never made it to Carolina. He did play in the NBA a few years, but never lived up to expectations. Elizabeth City is only about forty miles from Chesapeake where Mourning was going to Indian River High, and they got a few chances to battle each other. As a tenth grader Williams ate J.R. Reid alive in a tournament. Reid was a Carolina-bound senior out of Virginia Beach Kempsville High at the time.

*Actually five counting Manning who played at Page but finished hs in Kansas.
