    While I didnt find this hard to believe, Im also one of the single guys that they would target as a perfect candidate. I would give anything to work for that company, because it's something I've always dreamed of doing.

    But anyway, read the essay, and the follow up comments and etc if you're interested.

    I read that when it was posted on /. a while back. Supposedly some higher up in EA sent out a memo swearing things were going to get better, back down to 80 hour weeks and the like.

    I would give anything to work in the gaming industry myself, especially doing voiceover work.

    writing/designing games is my dream job... but i fear it's beyond me at this point. no way i'd actually be able to put in the required time to get to the position i would want, and i don't think they hire lead designers with no experience no matter how genius they are. sigh...

    Start your own little group and pitch your company to someone like EA.

    That's pretty much what the MAXIS group did.

    Hell, I just want to be one of the actors portraying a voice role in the games.
