EA Games exec producer

Had coffee with a friend who works at EA - she brought her boyfriend/fiancee/whatever, they're going to get married next year and we've gotta fly out to CA. Well, he's one of the executive producers out there. We talked about the Madden franchise and he said that there was very vivious competition for the NFL licensing and they really felt like it was worth whatever they had to pay to keep it and the Madden line going. He noted that the competition wouldn't change much because the college game is still wide open and that they still felt like they needed to keep improving the game. Also mentioned something about a James Bond FPS coming out next year dealing with the Sean Connery/1960s type background.

 

blah...ea sucks. buy out the competion so you can keep ripping people off with the same boring ass games year after year

 

I was actually supposed to audition for EA when I was in L.A. last December to do some voiceover work with them on their games.

At the last minute, they called and said they would have to "reschedule"...so I came home and never heard back.

Think you can get me a hookup? It's an industry I'm seriously trying to get into.

 

I could get you a number to call, maybe. That I could say "talk to this person, he'll hook you up"? No.
