wow...EA has sunk to a new low. Even with competition, Madden never really evolved that much. It's obviously a good game, but they're cashing in on the same old shit every year.

Sega finally made some in-roads this year, and now this...

    Fuck EA.

Maybe sega can move onto an NCAA game or something, but this is low. This also fucks madden over since EA wont have to do shit. You'll either have to buy their game or nothing. I don't see how there's incentive to improve each year.

It seems they haven't improved over the past several years so whats the difference? I have't bought an EA football game in years. I guess I'll have to play my ESPN 2K5 for 5 more years.

tecmo superbowl still gets roster updates by numerous websites. I'm pretty sure it's not too damn difficult to do the same for the ESPN games.

not to mention, this opens the door to requiring "premium passes" or other subscriptions to play online. They can do whatever they want without any competition.

"They could tape ESPN NFL 2K5 free to a ham sandwich and we (Madden) would still outsell them."

-some dipshit EA exec months ago

yeah fucking right, EA just admitted they blow ass. They were so confident months ago, and now have to buy every other game out of the market to stay in the lead.
