the Pats are on the verge of one right now. They've won 2 of the past 3 superbowls and they have two 1st and two 2nd rounders in the upcoming draft. If they draft the right talent to play with and eventually replace the veterans, this team will be a perennial SB threat for at least the next 3-4 years. Now that is how to run a team...

Thankfully, we're doing OK here in Carolina.

I hope to face them next year.

sounds great, except that they have a few guys to re-sign, including washington. They are a little over the cap, so if they used all their picks, it would be hard to manage the cap. They'll wind up trading some of the picks to probably just move up and get one guy in each round or whatever. Dynasties are a dream and the cap is what kills it.

Slightly older guys.... willing to take less $$$ to win. What a novel thought.

We were talking about this last night during the game. The one thing that might hurt is if more than a few of those veterans lose a step all at the same time. Other than that? Sure. I'd be happy if I were a Pats fan.

I'll believe that when I see it. The bucs were hoping for the same thing last year too, yet players bolted for more money to play in schemes where they'll suck.

    Chemistry.....

Chemistry and coaching are the antidote to the salary cap.

    New England has been awesome.

I think Carolina has a chance to be awesome. We've learned the hard way - and we're still only 9.

Already did it. Where do you think the depth on that team came from? It came from bringing selfless (or less selfish than usual) guys in to begin with.

I agree it will be harder to keep them together now, but just to get those guys to come in and sign like New England did is rare in today's NFL.

I think we might have them the first game of the season.
