Nero can do DVDShrinks job itself, but I'm still on Nero 6 (given that I actually pay for my software and don't see any compelling upgrade need for now).

I paid for this one. Will it break encryption, copy protection and all?

Nope, and neither will DVDShrink :).
DVDDecrypter is still my tool of choice for decryption/ripping, but there are new ones...

Is there a simple way(for my pea-size brain) to split a video file into separate files? I just don`t want compression to ruin a video.

I still use decrypter myself as well.

If you have it, be sure to go into the options and TURN OFF the "Check for updates" selection.

They were bought out by a company that just wanted to shut them down. Macrovision or something...

I use decrypter and shrink for everyday dvd copying.

    I use Nero7/NerovisionExpress to convert downloaded avi's and mpg's into dvd's.

Bootay, I had some issues with the Nerovision Express version (3.4.0.1) that was with Nero 6, and all of those problems went away with version 4.0.0.1 that comes with Nero 7 Ultra.

DVD Decryptor and Shrink are the shitz :ylsuper: 463 movies and counting. Next up I am going to get alot of the television shows (Beavis, Family guy etc..) via download (Avi files) and then go the route that Krack Monkey mentioned
