    My preference

    Coughlin
    Chow
    Bennett
O'Leary (who cares about the resume, he got results)
    Roof

I know Steve "Bubba" Spurrier Jr. I don't think he would make a good coach.

Why would any of those "big" names want to coach at Duke?

Two reasons: we offer a buttload of money or the chance to prove themselves again (which would appeal to Coughlin and O'Leary I think but probably not Chow)

Spurrier and Bennett are Duke grads.

Bennett was the QB for Spurrier Sr., wasn't he? Not sure there, maybe he came after that. It's been a while.

I agree with you on Coughlin. But O'Leary will be moving on to greener pastures than Duke after this season if Minny keeps rolling.

Hell, if the Skins continue to blow up maybe you can get ol' man Spurrier to come back.

I truly think a phone call has already been made to gauge interest.

Dave Brown was Spurrier's QB at Duke when he went to a bowl in 89. Bennett may have been there in 87.

I believe Bennet was before Spurrier. Spurrier had a QB named Anthony Dilwig I believe.
