Damn, I'm a Duke fan and a fan of any team the Heels play.

I think I qualify since I was born at Duke hospital in Durham and my parents are both alumni and my Dad ushers at the Duke basketball games now.

But if Duke ever plays Appalachian (yeah right) , I'll pull for Appalachian. :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

i was accepted at unc, uncc, and ncsu. i choose uncc for several reasons. i have 3 brothers who attended from 71-79. i spent the better part of 86 and 87 dating a chapel hill girl. have passed out on a bathroom floor at morrison. drank inverness scotch with jr reid on the intramural fields. ordered time out chicken at 4 in the morning and survived hector's "c" health rating. so i got a pretty good claim on being a fan. oh and the 6 pack of championship soda from 82.

Back to the topic at hand. I keep hearing about a UNC repeat, but Duke returns everyone but one starter, and if Paulus, McRoberts, Boykin, and Boateng are as good as advertised, then this team will be very tough to handle. No more talking about Duke not having a deep bench. They'll have Paulus, Boykin, Randolph, Melchionni, Nelson, McClure, and Boateng coming off the bench. That's the deepest bench in the conference. This team could draw a lot of comparisons to the 2001 team. The year before that year, Duke only lost one key player in starter Chris Carrawell, and going into next year, Duke will have everyone coming back except starter Daniel Ewing. This will be a much deeper Duke team with a good blend of young superstars and veteran leadership. Duke can also have 4 white guys and a mulatto in the game at crunch time. Something Carolina can't say :ylsuper:
