    I got accepted to USC and they were similar, but I just couldn't afford it. My dad believes that we should pay 50/50 for college, and it was going to cost me more to go there for one year than Charlotte for 4.

    I got waitlisted by GaTech, but they (much like Chapel Hill) are very hard to get into out of state.

    That said, I came to Charlotte as a fan of more than one school, but now I don't give a shit about any school but Charlotte. Sure, we may not be the best team in the country, but what does that matter? I didn't get an education from any other school, I didn't make my friends at any other school, I didn't get to know the players of any other school, and I wont get a degree from any other school.

    My step-daughter also visted Duke and they told us the same thing about if you get in, you can afford it.

    And I don't. The closest I come is for UF, because my father and a lot of family members went to UF. You'd better believe that if Charlotte got a football team, I would want them to beat every team they played.

    Personally, I don't like cheering for other schools, but if other people want to do that that's their thing. But if they cheer for another school over the school they attend, they are assholes.

    I don't have a problem with someone being happy the heels won, I have a problem with people who claim the tarheels as if they have some vested interest. If you didn't go to school there and you would cheer them on over the school you did go to, that is fucked up.
