Duke - Laettner, Hill, Brand, Maggette, Battier, Dunleavy, Boozer, Jones, Deng, Duhon

UNC - Scott Williams, Lynch, Stackhouse, Wallace, McInnis, Carter, Jamison, Haywood

Not only do we now have more but without question we would kick the UNC players ass :xyzthumbs

    From DBR:

FYI, last week's Sporting News included their list and ranking of the NBA's Top 50 players. Some highlights are ad follows:

    Brand #11

    Boozer #29

    Maggette #31

Rashweed is the top rated Heel at #35. Carter at #41 is the only other UNC alum to crack the Top 50, although Jamison makes the "near miss" list at #53.

Rasheed should be rated where Brand is. Boozer & Maggette rated higher, please.

well if some dickweed sports writer ranking says so...

as for Brand - he is a really good player but the 11th best in the league?

without Rasheed Detroit doesn't win an NBA title last year.

It would be a classic dook/UNC war but I say the dookies go down with a whimper.

UNC's been living off Jordan for the past twenty years. Rasheed Wallace played a key role in winning the title but he was not near the best player on his team. Ben Wallace and Chauncy Billups are both better. Brand is a great player on a bad team. Deng will be a good player in the NBA as well.

we can live off the best player to ever play the game for a long time. :)

how is Ben Wallace better? he has outstanding defense and thats it. check the numbers, 9.5 pts per game for Ben, and Rasheed with 16 points per game...almost double. sorry wrong there, Chauncy also with 16 ppg, so they are comparable, but still, Chauncy doesn't dominate like 'Sheed does.

You're right, Brand is a great player on a bad team. Deng will be just as good as Christian Laettner, and we all know how dominate he has been in the league.
