Duke vs UNC....anyone ? hello ?

Oh, by the way, Travis Wear is out indefinitely.

Well I’m to the point there is nothing left but to laugh about it. The joke this season has become. But it’s still good to poke a little fun at dook too.

Not sure if I'm ready for tonight or not.

Retiring Hansbrough's jersey at halftime. Could be a good thing. Could just turn into a painful reminder of what's missing this year.

Also Travis Wear is now out indefinitely - bad ankle from practice yesterday. The Heels "deep" front court now consists of David Wear, Thompson, Davis and Henson. Only good thing about this injury is Henson has been playing better and should see more floor time.

But with Wear and Zeller out it ain't getting better anytime soon. They might ride the rivalry emotion and get by dook tonight but that won’t carry them very far. It has become painfully obvious that as great a coach as Williams is (and his record proves he’s a great one) one thing he’s not good at is coaching up average players. He’s great when he has the horses. Not sure if he can learn any new tricks at this point.

Oh well – I’ll expect the worst and hope for the best. Of course he worst part tonight will be watching the game with my daughter and her friend, in town for the night. The friend is an obnoxious (aren’t they all?) dook fan. Could make a long game even longer.

 

This is how bad the ACC is this year. We're arguing about whether or not winning a game is a win.

No win situation. Lose, sucks. Win, shit talking still has little meaning.


edit: Obnoxious dook fans are the worst. Inevitably when I meet someone I don't like, he's a duke fan.

 

I wouldnt say nobody cares. message boards and this rivalry make for nothing more than wasted interweb space. you can only take so many years of "your team sucks" "we owned you" etc. and then theres the "where did you go to school" police that can conviently root for any school(besides their own) as long as it is bashes UNC.

and then UNC fans act like the sky is falling after winning two titles in 5 years. its going to be ok if they dont win it this year.some people take this shit way to serious

If you are a fan of a school and your team wins, it is always a win. If you are just a fan for the shit talk, well, you're probably not much of a person in the first place.
