I know its early, but this is generally one of the top games of the year every year. Dook will probably blow out UNC this time around, primarily more due to the freshmen not understanding how big this game is, but I will say I like how UNC matches up to dook WAY better than I thought I would. It will hurt UNC though that they don't have Jackie Manual anymore. It was generally his job to keep JJ in check and he did a pretty good job in the past.

I'm really torn how I think this game will turn out.

dook will win at least one of the two games in a god awful hard to watch for a UNC fan blow out. I'm thinking that one is in derm. No way Redick and shewill and milkaroni and dockery lose on senior day to this bunch of freshmen.

So that leaves Tuesday night. The game will probably be a close one for the most part throughout - maybe one team pulls away at the end so it looks like a blowout. Most likely dook runs out to a big lead in the second half and UNC makes a furious comeback - maybe they finish it maybe they don't.

Redick never plays well in the Dean Dome. UNC should be fired up and hopefully shoots good from behind the arc. UNC does match up well with this dook team. Hopefully Frasor and Miller stay out of foul trouble and Thomas never sees the court. The thought of QT and his lazy, sloppy bounce passes against the dook D scares the crap out of me.

Either way it will be a great game. An interesting bit of trivia I learned reading Blue Blood - the last time dook and Carolina played where both teams were unranked was 1955. Pretty amazing at least one team has been ranked every game over the last 51 years.

    GO HEELS!

I'm not overly confident, but we have not been blown out yet this year. I don't really count the USC game.

Hansbrough can hang with Williams. Tyler will also give McRoberts a taste of how bad he is going to own him next year.

It depends on turnovers and perimeter shooting. We play excellent D and our Freshmen have such a winning attitude. I do not see them backing down to anyone this year.

needless to say Duke knows how to handle a team that turns the ball over 20+ times. Better play smarter Heels or this one will be ugly

I have really mixed feelings about this game. I think UNC will play A LOT harder than people think they will and I think they could upset Duke if Terry plays well. In the two games that Duke has come the closest to losing the forwards (Bowman and Thornton) have been really athletic slashers. I think Hansbrough will have a lot of trouble on Williams. Ever since Williams had that bad game against Georgetown he has played out of his mind, and Lee Melchionni needs to actually show up because he has sucked as of late. What makes me more comfortable is that Duke played even worse defense against Florida State than they did at Georgetown and that will be more emphasized this game, especially in the early minutes. I think it will be a close game, especially how well UNC has been playing lately. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was decided by less than 10 points at all. I agree with Wossa that no way in the world Duke loses the night Redick (and maybe Williams) get his (their) numbers hung in the rafters.
