Duke obervations

Just some observations...


1. They should have went inside the whole game.
2. Redick needs more touches on the ball.
3. Duhon still lacks outside shooting confidence
4. Ewing shouldn't handle the ball at the top of the key
5. Why doesn't Dockery get more mins.

 

Williams is a load - all you fuckers that have been laughing at us crying over May - just imagine this dook team without him.

Horvath is the ugliest player in the ACC - ever. No way those ears are real.

I have no idea why Doh doesn't give Damien Grant minutes - He had the size and bulk to keep Williams from backing in every play. Weak knees or not he should at least be good for 10 minutes a game.

I am less impressed with Reddick every time I watch him play - he has a sweet shot - sometimes - but most of those today he was wide open - he threw up some ugly shots today tho.

1. Yes, kinda amazed of a smart coach like the Rat face not doing that more, pretty big slip by him.
2. Not sure the touches would have helped this game. He was 4-13, so say he was 6-20 then that means somebody else with a higher % of making shots this game would have less shots.
3. Didn't bring the game he did last time we played.
4. Wouldn't have made a difference.
5. Not sure what his foul trouble was like, that could have been it.

6. Williams scares me a helluva lot more than Redick. Williams is coming on and going to be a really good player, while Redick has become very one dimensional and teams are figuring that out so his numbers are going down.
7. Damn if Doh wasn't trying to help dook win by calling those 2 timeouts at the end of the game.

 

as far as reddick goes, he's pretty one dimensional at this point. I think he'll be alot better next year. He's about the only big 3 point weapon duke has. Ewing's pretty good, but he's playing scared or something. Until duke gets another big 3 point weapon and until shelden williams gets more consistant, reddick's not gonna be a huge factor. But, when teams have to start paying attention to guys other than him, watch out.

I think he may have gotten too good too quick and now is looking for any open look he can get whether it be a spot up or on the run. I'm pretty excited about next year. I'm just hoping for a sweet sixteen appearance for this year.

 

Agreed that Redick threw up some horrible shots. He didn't move well today or wasn't moving at all...he needs to curl off a pick and set up. He has more game than Trajan had when he was a freshman. I hope he learns to move better without the ball. If he does...he'll be something like Matt Carroll of ND. He's come a long way...

bah - people give him shit when he doesn't call time out - people give him shit when he does.

It was good to see the Heels nail their foul shots down the end.

And to see felton come back after the pop in the mouth to nail some big shots - and come back after the bad game he had against Wake.

McCants should be able to score like that every game too - flashes of the way he started the season -

it probably is the NIT this year - but dook better be praying for a UVA win tonight - the Heels have already proven they can hang with the dookies. Beating them 2 in a row would really make the season.

and yeah I'm phsyced about the Heels team next year too - Every one of these guys will be better next year - I'm really interested to see how much Noel improves now that he is concentrating on bball full time.

I think it's more of when to call a timeout and not to call a timeout.

You are up and on defense you don't call a to imho.

You are down on offense you call one.

Those 2 he seems to get backwards.

Either way great game, we really needed this win.

 

i love how dook has the refs so far in their pocket, the refs are calling the to's for them now.

did you see doherty's bump and run? that shit was funny.
