No need to pump up the two top 20 teams we have beaten. How are the tarheels fairing against ranked competition again?

Better than I thought we would to this point. Don't try and deflect how close dook played Indy. Indy only really had one good player on the court last night.

dooks so called depth hasn't looked all that deep this year so far.

Thats because we are missing one of our best players dipshit.

And why would I need to deflect from playing a ranked team close. They are fucking ranked you moron.

And Vaden and Ratliffe are just terrible :sarcasm:

One of your best players? LMAOOOOOOOOOO Please tell me you aren't talking about Nelson. Now if you were talking about JJ or SW I could see your point. This is suppose to be the deepest dook team ever.

Indy only had one player worth mentioning last night and you know that.

Like it or not, Nelson was the third best player on our team when he went down. Sure, a big gap between two and three, but he was still our #3 player who could slash and do some dirty work down low. I don't mind winning by 8 at Assembly Hall, with as pumped as the crowd was. Killingsworth had the game of his life and they still lost. Paulus was clutch and he is only getting better. Illinois is probably the fourth best team in the conference behind MSU, Iowa, and Indiana. Beating any ranked team on the road is good, especially when the way they had been pumping themselves up all week. And what I love is the fact that they were down and still kept fighting and pulled it out with all those makes by Williams and Redick being clutch. Redick proved why he's an All-American last night. He's playing awesome this year, and Melchionni has been almost non-existant this year, till last night. If he starts shooting the three well, that adds just another element. I feel perfectly happy with being 6-0 and 2-0 against ranked opponents away from Cameron. I still think it's funny that the Big 10 is supposedly up this year, and this is the worst our conference has looked in quite a while and the ACC STILL won. :ylsuper:

We missed Nelson's help side defense last night. With him I think Killingsworth would have been a lot less effective.

Things work out weird sometimes. In '94 Duke went to the title game with Grant Hill pretty much playing the point in the "go to Charlotte" offense. After him they had decent roleplayers (except Lang who was above average) in Collins, Capel, and a young Cherokee Parks at center and they still made it to the title game. A lot of it is the matchups you get. Duke also won the title game with a rusty 60% Carlos Boozer playing his first game, after hurting his ankle/foot 10 games earlier, in the Maryland game of the Final Four. Granted those are probably better teams, but I think that Duke was just as good the next year and only made the Sweet 16. It all depends on the quality of the freshmen and how well they mature throughout the year. Paulus is doing a great job at point so far this year, and it will be real hard to press Duke with Paulus, Dockery, Nelson, and Redick all being good ball-handlers.

Grant would have taken us to 3 out of 4 titles if he didn't bruise his tailbone 2 min into the Finals...

As much shit as I give him for his junior year, his senior year more than made up for it.
