Shit, I'm not sold on Vanilla Ice yet, being a tarheel fan and all, but I'm looking at some of the teams Duke plays to start its year every year, and I say... they are why mens basketball needs a BCS Bowl versus playoffs... and I hate the BCS system...

wow sandy, you know, you can talk smack about football all you want, because i honestly think you care alot more about football than i. But, you're full of shit. I have said that this year duke is playing the weakest schedule in a long time. But, this schedule does not resemble anything close to what duke has played in the past.

Funny, when carolina cupcakes didn't pan out, it wasn't shitty scheduling. That's in reference to last year, which i hate to do.

Also, last time i checked, duke's strength of schedule was more difficult than the "back down to earth" tarheels.

Please show me any fact where Duke's strenght of schedule to start this season, i. e the first 7 or 8 games is rated more difficult than the tarheels.

Show me some facts, show me some non Duke related sites. You might be able to show me total year... thats not my beef. My beef is, Duke plays a bunch of pussies every year to start the year....

And Sandy, to confirm and clarify - the difference between UNC and Duke is, Duke BEATS those teams they are supposed to beat. Last season (which I love to reference), the squeeHeels lost to some major power-houses...

This year, the babies in lite blue (aka, Smurfs), look better. They couldn't have been worse, could they?

NC A&T could beat some of the Dukey's opponents.... so that's not bragging... UNC is 5-2 there ONLY loses coming to ranked teams... so who aren't they beating that they were supposed to??

  7. Brain, my reference to LAST season for the Heels included Hampton, Davidson and some small school from NY...Binghampton?

The Heels beat Stanford and Kansas, which aren't setting the world on fire. Last year, the Heels lost to what was supposed to be the easy games on their schedule. This year, they haven't yet.

The Heels don't have depth nor height, but I'm sure they'll give Duke a couple of good games.

In regard to schedule strength, I'm sure you already calculated the algorithms used to produce the "rankings". It won't matter much when the teams step on the court. Looking forward to shearing your little sheep...

This year Duke does have a week schedule. But for Sandy to say they do every year is just another one of those idiotic statements for which he has become famous and generally reviled.

Got this quote from a recent article about injuries the Heels have had lately. Gotta love it:

"After the game against Vermont (3-4), one of the best teams in the America East conference, UNC travels Sunday to Tallahassee, Fla., for its ACC opener against Florida State. But Doherty said he won't hold anybody back to save them for the Seminoles"
