Yeah but Duke draws everyone to watch, not just their alumni. I would bet 75% of UNc alums would rather watch Duke.

in Columbia, on digital cable, they are showing the other regional feeds in addition to regular CBS channel . check high up in your tv listings on game day and see. at the bar yesterday they had all three on at same time, using only digital cable(TWC). i think he said in the 800's or aroiund there. I would guess they will do it friday night.

    Welcome, NC
The place where I watch most of the games I'm assuming will be able to show both on the satellite, they've been doing it on all the other games.

I agree with Dukey though, they should have 1 game during the day on Friday (maybe State) starting around 5:15 or so. I'm off that day anyway :D so they could have it at noon for all I care.

You talking about dook vs. NC State? Probably in todays times yes, just because people want to watch the programs with more success recently.

I don't think it used to be that way though, but then again, you didn't have the ability to watch every fricken game under the sun either.

TV's tough choice: Duke or N.C. State

Games happen simultaneously, broadcasters choose both

    Mark Washburn

    TV/Radio Writer

Question of the week: Duke or N.C. State? Answer: Both.
ACC fans were puzzling Monday which game would be televised in Charlotte Friday night when both teams play at the same time in the NCAA men's basket ball tournament.

    It's a split decision.

WBTV (Channel 3) will carry Duke against Michigan State, starting at 7:10 p.m. WJZY (Channel 46) will air N.C. State against Wisconsin, beginning at 7:27 p.m.

"It's a nice problem to have," said Mike Aresco, CBS Sports's senior vice president of program ming, who was faced Monday with the decision of which game would be aired and which blocked out in the basketball- crazy Carolinas.

"In cases like this, we try to find alternate clearances," he said, which is TV talk for a second sta tion.

A similar arrangement has been worked out in Raleigh, where WRAL will carry the N.C. State game and its sister station WRAZ will carry Duke.

The lineup is still being sorted out in Greensboro and Wilming ton.
