No one is cheering for someone to be hurt. Just sick of UNC whining and complaining. You won and you're still whining and complaining. It's unbelievable. Duke is a team of all freshman and sophomores and only has 9 scholarships. They have underachieved in terms of Duke, but they aren't bad. They just need a point guard who can actually pass the ball and play any type of defense and a big man who can play with his back to the basket. They get 4 new players with everyone coming back. It is pretty obvious after today's game that McRoberts should not go pro. He has no midrange game. When I think about it more he reminds me of Brendan Haywood a little bit. Haywood couldn't shoot a ball or make a layup to save his life. All he seemed to be able to do was dunk the ball. That is what I think of McRoberts except that he is a great passer and can take the ball up the court at times. He is subpar with his back to the basket and hardly any midrange. Henderson played great today (Despite all the extracurriculars). Just get his one game suspension out of the way and go to work. I actually think Duke is on the much easier side of the ACC bracket. I want no part of Maryland right now.

i hope its ok if we get back to the game..........

i thought carolina handled duke pretty well. henderson had a great game, hansbrough too. we just wore them down. we seem to have their number despite the many mental errors that i still see from this current carolina team. i liked the big effort on the glass but would love to see more improvement defensively. we needed this one.

dook is one of the teams where Carolina can just run their legs off. The last 8 minutes of the game dook was done. They shot bad, made bad passes, lazy defensive plays. Every time there was a stoppage in play they all looked like they could barely stand up straight.

Getting out to the big leads helped Carolina because dook had energy to make a couple come backs but no way they were going to have enough to put the game away. It almost looked like Lawson loafed his way through the first thirty minutes so he could run them into the ground the last ten.

if dook had a PG and a decent big man they would be dangerous. Paulus would actually make a pretty good shooting guard.

Do you agree with me or disagree with me.By saying that today carolina played it best game of the season so far.We did an excellent job of shuting down Jon Scheyer and Josh McRoberts.I thought that a sign that this team has mature alt is when Duke cut the lead down to 2 and heels went on 10-2 run.

Sadly enough, no. Manager had to step in it got so bad. Dook fans standing and cheering when they saw blood. Cheering on every replay of the hit. Not all, but some.

I've never cheered for a hurt player except the hit we put on Deon in the playoffs. And that's football. You're supposed to hit the guy.

i would not agree. duke is definately a second tier team within the acc this season. unc should beat them easily and thats exactly what they did this time. they needed this game. they were fortunate enough to be playing at home.

but lets not get all hyped about who/what unc really is. what they really are is basically a run and gun team who needs to step up their defense and poise if they want to seriously contend for a national championship. imo we lack the mental discipline to do that. i hope im wrong but i see alot of "street ball" in this bunch. maybe its roy, maybe its youth, or both...whatever. i said the same thing about the 2005 team and look what they did. we shall see.

you can't pretend the UNC fans wouldn't do the same if the situation were reversed

    yep

As much as I hate to admit it, it wouldn't surprise me to see this UNC team get beat on Friday in the ACC Tourney then lose in the second round of the NCAA. They just don't seem to have it this year. Talent and a not too difficult schedule got them a good record, but the mental toughness to win when the chips are down just isn't there.

    I hope I'm wrong
