Take an empty soda can, remove the top and fill it halfway with sand and the rest of the way with water into which 1/4 cup of salt has been dissolved. Straighten out a coat hanger and stick one end in the soda can. Attach the other end of the hanger to the top side of a metal garbage can lid and secure the lid to something stable, like a camera tripod. lastly, take an ethernet cable and place one end into the soda can and run the other to your computer. Point the garbage can lid at the moon.

BTW, DSL was down at work today for about 5 hours.....but that was because someone running pipe into the development next door cut all our phone lines this morning. :43:

We had DSL for 2 years and were pretty happy. That being said, I love my cable internet way more. For online gaming (XBox360) DSL sucks monkey nuts

Cable was out for 4 hours today, one hour yesterday, and about 30 minutes on Friday.

This sounds like my experience. I was a very early adopter of charter and can probably count on 1 hand the times I've had outages.

sounds like you've had terrible luck or something was going on in the area. Cable and DSL should both be very reliable in this day and age.
