What is the best real world scenario the Panthers could end up doing?
Trading down, ending up with more picks and drafting all their needs?
Getting at least 2 starters from the draft?
half the draft picks end up being with the team for multiple years?

Getting an awesome player at 6 and then sucking bad enough to get a new coach and quarterback in 2023 is the best real world scenario for the Panthers.

I think trading down to the middle of the first and still getting a LT like Penning or maybe even Cross would be a win. In that scenario, if the second day pick gets significant playing time and looks like he will be a starter for years to come, that's a successful draft to me. That could easily happen with a LB, there are several who look like they could be good but maybe are a little short or don't play for the right program, etc...

I've pretty much resigned myself we are drafting a QB at 6. If Neal or the ncsu ot slides it will hurt even more.

If one of those tackles is available at six we better take them or Rhule better hope like hell that Pickett is another Joe Burrow

It just smells like they’re setting up a QB pick. I will gladly be wrong.

I'm thinking it's a counter option play. Send everyone in one direction and run in the opposite.
Lead everyone that you want a QB and take an OL star.

It could be making that kind of noise to drum up a potential trade down. Can’t trade down if no one wants to trade up.

If you're willing to lose value any trade is possible.
