I took a closer look at him for the sake of curiosity (no homo), and I don't see anything he does particularly well. His get off is pretty good so maybe a good coaching staff could mold him into an effective pass rusher. That sounds like a mid-to late round player. Hopefully the liberal media doesn't blow a gasket when he gets drafted approximately where he should have been drafted.

Like Chris Kluwe, an average punter who spoke out in favor of gay marriages. Economics cost him a job

If he falls to the 6th and gets cut, they'll be calling for quotas.

I think this will hurt his draft stock simply because Goodell will put pressure on the drafting team to keep him and none of them want that headache. He'll end up on someone's practice squad, though.

Like someone said his talent is mid round. General managers have names to choose from. The distraction of the media is going to steer teams away I would think

    Seven Rounds in April

Hey I found this blog. The guy is all about offense and evaluating guys for the draft. I found it interesting and BTW apparently way under the radar, googled his name and got nothing. Have a look at what he was putting up pre draft last year.

I guess he may have to rename it 7 rounds in May this year.

It's interesting enough to post, so thanks, but it looks pretty flawed to me. Stuff like setting an arbitrary boundary at "76 3/8" instead of "76" or "77" indicates that he's cherry-picking data points to make his results look better. Saying 77 would have left out some QBs he wanted to include and saying 76 would have included some he didn't want in there. I also suspect that he's leaving out additional quarterbacks who fit that profile based on the subjective term "prospect." If you go by all quarterbacks who were invited to the combine then you find more guys who might fit, although I can't find sack rate listed anywhere. It's not on the NCAA site, ESPN, Fox, or College Football Reference. You can piece it together by looking at team totals for guys who got all of their team's snaps, but that's time consuming and not ideal. I did it for a few and found that Collin Klein is one quarterback who met all that guy's criteria and wasn't listed. Tony Pike is another.

He also seems to engage in a bit of revisionist history. If you read that blurb on Nick Foles two years ago, it wasn't exactly glowing. He said "I believe Foles still represents a worthwhile pick for a team with time to develop a QB," which to me isn't as strong an endorsement as someone else writing that "Nick Foles has the mental and physical attributes to develop into a legitimate starter over time." If Tyler Bray ends up being anything then I'll be impressed. Until then I think this entirely numerical approach can be useful to identify prospects you want to take a closer look at, but it doesn't come close to helping as much as watching the actual games.

I like to see with my eyes too, above all. I'm intrigued by his attempt to build the models but of course numbers and measureables can't always be taken as gospel. I'm still gonna check him out after the combine and some pro days.
