hell yeah, if we could pull it off.
I'm a pretty big defender of Ken Dorsey's pro ability but even I would have to wait to top of 3 to pick him.

Something tells me... the later we draft this year, the better we will be. This is 100% gut feel. No facts, just an opinion... but the later this franchise drafts - the better. Then we will not be forced to pick some guy, just because everyone else thinks we should. I know it will probably not happen, but we need to win out! Screw playing for a draft pick. This franchise needs to instill a winning attitude, something we have lacked since 1996.

You play to win the games, no doubt.

The downside though is the more we win, the more likely it is for us to fuck up the pick. Good teams draft well in middle rounds and with mid round picks. We don't.

Looking at this, their are some interesting trade options should we want to trade up a couple a spots and not have to give up that much.

Aside from the final kneel,(sp) I thought our team played with passion until the end today... we won. Yes, I thought prevent came a tad too soon... but... I saw some guys "playing to win" as long as that continues to happen, I don't care where we draft. I'd rather go into next year with a winning streak... versus a losing streak...

Don't think we went into prevent so much as we had some blown coverages and Chad Johnson is a pretty good reciever. Wesley came up to play the short man and Minter had a deeper responsiblity on that one late pass to Johnson, it wasn't prevent, just blown.

We started just putting 3 men on the line early... I forget the time... but the game was not out of reach as defined by Panther ball. DBs were back and only 3 on the line...

We played a lot of 3 down lineman and played nickle in the second half, but brought quite a few dogs (3 down and 1 blitzer) and blitzes until the very end.

Guess a few of the guys around me persuaded me... ;) Several people noticed as the 4th Qtr began, we seemed to not play as firm a defense.... even a few boos. I think Cinci got across the 50 early in the 4th cause we were laying back...

Don't get me wrong, If I regret anything today... its not picking up and adding the easily available Steve Smith to my 2 fantasy football teams as my 3rd offensive player... :D

when teams that run a rigid defense like the C2 have to go to something different it's pretty rare that it has the same amount of structure to it. The marvel in Indy is that they have a very good defense under Dungy but they play a lot of cover three and have success with it.
Who was the blitzer? I still have no tape of this game.

larry johnson didn't show up in the big games.

if ken dorsey is drafted by the panthers on day 1, it'll be the worst draft mistake this team has made. and that's saying something.
