    Maybe they spoke too soon:

NFL says 5th pick to Cowboys; 6th to Cards... The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the NFL has reversed itself again - no Giants' fans you do not get a re-kick - and that, in fact, the Cowboys will have the 5th pick overall at the 2003 draft while Arizona will pick 6th. The confusion stems from the fact that the Cowboys and Cardinals both finished the regular season with 5-11 records and the combined opponents of each had the same winning percentage. In the past, that would have automatically meant the teams would have flipped a coin to decide which picked ahead of the other at the draft. New language regarding tie-breakers agreed on last spring when Houston re-entered the league and the divisional structure was re-aligned, though, say that playof tie-breakers can be employed where applicable in breaking ties in the draft order. And this year, Arizona defeated Dallas which has many sources reporting that Dallas will get the 5th pick and Arizona the 6th as a result. The NFL originally said that the tow teams would, in fact, flip a coin to decide the pick, however, have now apparently reversed themselves. Seattle and Baltimore, however, will br forced to flip a coin to decide the 10th and 1th picks as they are in different conferences, hence tie-breakers won't apply
