    Interesting blurb from the Tennessee Pro Day:

    Victor McClure, who played tight end for the Vols, weighed in at 360 pounds, although he still recorded a vertical jump of 26 inches.

    Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons are believed to be the frontrunners to acquire free agent LB Ed Hartwell (Ravens), according to Hartwell's agent Harold Lewis. Another undisclosed suitor is also believed to be pursuing Hartwell.

    would LOVE to trade down. No OTs or Ss worthy of a #14 overall. The only two WRs worth taking in round one will be gone. I know Williamson is the flavor of the month but he’s not worth our #14 nor does he seem like a fit here. I agree that either Johnson, Rolle, or Caddy could somehow drop to us. If we could get the best LB in the draft I think that Johnson would clearly be the BAP if he fell to 14. Since we signed Lucas I just don’t see us taking another rd 1 corner so guys like Rolle and PacMan are probably out of the question. The Cadillac worries me and both his durability and cerebral game seem to leave too many big question marks for that high a pick. I do like Spears but apparently he is not quite the value that the above three would be.
    If no one worthy of our pick falls then I would love picking up and extra day one pick to drop 8 or 10 spots and grab a durable solid O-lineman like David Baas. Gross, Wahl, Wharton, and Baas along with Mitchell . . . damn that sounds good to me! With the possible exception of Johnson Dave Baas might be able to help us more both now and in the future than any of those projected higher picks above. He would probably be an immediate upgrade to Reyes and in two or three years be an excellent replacement for Mitchell.
