He listed with EK as 5'11, 180.

Andre Lott ran a 4.45 at Pro Day. This was already noted on the Stallworth thread but I feel like he and Bouman are probably the way to go in the 3rd if we go that way. Sims might rate with them.

I'd still take Ross over Lott and he should still be there for us in the third?

Ross is slower and I'm a little leery of his style. What's his run support like?

It's hard for me to say for certain, but if memory serves me right, both OSU CB's were solid in run support. The info I have seen on his 40 time had him around a mid to high 4.4.
I like how physical he is though. He hand fights real well and takes guys out of their routes and seems to be around the ball all the time. Plus, like I said before, I prefer the 6' footers and skill wise he's comparable to anyone else in the top 5-10 CB's.
I might rate him a little high because I like OSU's rep for producing physical CB's. But not much higher than is probably true if I have him high at all?

I'm less leary of him for speed than I am for the hips. I've seen more than one suggest he may have to go to safety.

I don't think we will go that route.

Again, IMO Lito Sheppard has enormous physical talent as an athlete. He is a very flexible athlete with great quickness. He is a bit raw and doesn't have ideal height - but his potential is awesome. Simply put, he flat out makes bigtime plays in bigtime situations. I really like him and would love to see the Panthers get a playmaker at CB to go with Peppers.

Your right Piper, he does have some technique issues in the hips, gets turned around a little ease. That is a product, in part, of his physical style and should be able to be corrected without much trouble.
I can see Ross as a safety, it's an easier transition than the opposite. Plus his size translates to safety...sure would be nice to have CB skills with safety size!
