Personally I would love to see Lito Sheppard fall to the Panthers in round 2. He lacks some height but is a big player maker and very nice coverage guy.

Rumph has size and will start in the NFL as well.

    Personally I don't like Craver.

Others to consider would be Ross, Echols, Lott or some of the following. Anyone have any comments on any of these guys?

In the second round, I'd like to echo your thoughts. No on Craver, yes to Sheppard or Rumph. Always liked Rumph, and he'd be a good fit for this system.

TFY said that at the combine, we took hard looks at Bauman and Brown.

As I posted yesterday, Joe Jefferson absolutely lit up the combine with his performance, I hope we were watching. Great scores all the way around, wonderlic included. Showed great lateral quickness, 4.37 speed, has good size. Was a good performer in college. Only negative, small school prospect.

There's also a link to Boomer's combine numbers, he posted them for free.

the fewer gators on the panthers roster, the better.

Rumph over Sheppard. Lito really doesn't lack size, but Mike does have it. He might only be a 4.45 guy rather than a 4.4, but the Giants' (and Ravens') CBs have never been terribly fast. He has the better attitude, and he's ready at this very second. Very solid.

And the name Lito really pisses me off anyway.

oh yeah, I do like Lott in the 3rd also. Lott or Bauman. If we went OLB and then one of these two, in 2-3, then I'd be content.

Bauman is a shorty at 5-8, I'd rather have a guy with a little more size. Ultimately, you'd like to have a 6 footer, but they are often a little sluggish.
I'd go with Rumph in the second or Ross in the third. Both are big hitters and very physical off the snap. Ross w/ 7 int's last year, seems to have a nose for the ball, too.

I have Sheppard at 5-10, 196. That would be about as short as I'd like to go.

I can go for shorter but it has to be for ball skills on the level of Tay Cody or Jamar Fletcher

    Eric Sims

NFL | Sims' Workout Details - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
14:44 PT: CB Eric Sims (Eastern Kentucky) was clocked at a 4.37 and 4.43 in the 40-yard dash during his workout for NFL scouts on Thursday. His agent, Jim Sims, has informed KFFL that he also had a vertical jump of 36½", a 10-foot-1 broad jump, 4.2-second 20-yard shuttle and a 7.03-second three-cone drill.

Seems I've read about him as under-rated, or a sleeper.

    Great numbers.

    How tall is he?
