WCU beat App in like the best damn game I've ever seen. 30-27 with app missing a late FG.

    :applause:

We were supposed to let the goal post down, but you can't stop thousands of people rushing the field. App was showing off the jug before the game like bitches and it came back to bite them..

    fuckers..

:applause: Way to smack 'em in the teeth, Catamounts!!!!

BTW, Furman survived a close one with Wofford today.

I just saw the highlights of both on tv..good game.

For the WCU game clips where they show the goal posts coming down, you can see me getting the fuck out of the way, since we were going to try to lower the goal post, but App had to be difficult and try a 50+ yard FG to tie with 4 seconds left.

BTW, I can see a similar rivalry developing between Furman and Wofford. I think Wofford sees it more as a rivalry than Furman does right now, but its growing. The Wofford players were wearing a shirt under their uniforms the other day that said simply "Beat Furman." One of our injured linebackers had a similar one made up that added the words "We won't" above "Beat Furman." He wore it at the game since he was in street clothes, got a rise out of the Wofford players.

 umm...that jug is painted with "Catamounts" on it. Do they re-paint it whenever the jug switches hands?

No, App's logo is on the other side, but it looks better to hold your side to the camera for photo's. I also heard App's AD got roughed up because he wouldn't give up the jug.

I work for the WCU athletic department, and it's funny how much stuff got stolen. App's kicker had all his balls stolen before the end of the game, so I think he had to kick a regular ball. Also helmets are missing and one of the goal posts wound up at a frat house way up on the hill you can see from the stadium.

    great times..

I saw a girl at the game wearing a "Battle of the Jugs" t-shirt.

    Appeared to be a tie.
