Dowdy-Ficklen expansion

looks really good, I hope this gets done in the next few years.

 

So what's new. Haven't been there in about a decade.

thats the proposed stadium expansion of Dowdy-Ficklen. It's ECU.

 

Didn't y'all build a monstrous fieldhouse a few years ago?

 

We have a very nice strength/conditioning complex (cant remember, but it was either 7mil or 17mil, I think).
The murphy center (same guy that gave money to NCSU to build their's as well) is on one end of the field...we're bowling in the other side, under the scoreboard, pic you just saw)
The endzone exp should be done for kickoff 2010 I think...gonna bring us to about 50,000.
After that we're re-doing the pressbox and adding suites on the single deck side. After everything we're supposed to be around 60,000 (???).
The nicest thing we have is Clark-LeClair baseball stadium. Finished a few years ago.

 

I actually like it better as is with the open end. Let's be honest, the stadium is a dump so adding a new piece really won't benefit much.

 

Mainly going for the whole...more seats, more money, louder...hopefully positioning ourselves for the next realignment (if/when that happens)
Can get bigger name programs to do home-homes (although not having much trouble doing that now i.e. SC, UNC, NCSU, UVA, Navy, VT, WVU)

 

That may change if you guys keep beating them.
