The UNC defense does not change like it did under Dean and Coach Guthridge or even like Roy Williams does at Kansas. Sunday there was no zones used at all and no run and jump nothing that appear to be trademark Carolina defenses! Why don't they vary what they do? One time the Heels went to a half court trap out of a timeout but that is the only real change I could notice.

they need to do whatever they did to Kansas. I've never seen such dominating D. But it's bad when Felton and McCants, two players under 6' 5", are your best rebounders. Size is killing our D. And Byron Sanders is not the answer. To any question for that matter.

What is he thinking? Dougherty just doesn't seem to get his guys up for conference games.

Doh just has a hard time remembering what all he needs to coach on or make decisions about in a game. I hope he will learn all of this very fast but if not, we need another coach soon. I don't remember for sure, but who did he have on Hodge in this last game?

Hell if I know but it should have been Manuel.

They run a few half court traps at points in the game that are occationally effective. We don't really have the quality depth to be able to press much at all. We need Felton and McCants on the floor as much as possible. We just don't have many scorers. Felton's having to play about 40 the way it is now anyways.

Played zone whole first half against Virginia and got smacked. Came out second half in man and played a great second half.

I saw Manuel on Hodge at least a few posessions. Melvin Scott gets abused on the defensive end of the floor whenever he's in. I hate it, he's a good shooter but his defense needs to improve.

I believe I saw a stat on Melvin Scott that he has not been to the free throw stripe 10 times total this season. He needs to occasionally drive instead of looking for only threes. By the way would somebody please wake up Jawad Williams and tell him there is no three-second violation inside the three-point arc.
