    damn, i went to bed knowing that penny had threw a shitload of pitches and was on a pitch count. looking at scores this morning, i assumed he was pulled due to the high pitch count. that sucks franchise.

    oh yeah, told ya peavy had nasty stuff last night. this is my favorite young pitcher in the game now. after he man-handled the braves in an outing last season, even in the hideous camo uniforms, i've been saying he is the next great young one. he's only allowed more than 2 earned runs in like 2 or 3 outings this year. just nasty. if he keeps improving his control, he will be the best in the game in a few years.

    as i went back and read after posting before, i saw where you said pretty much the same thing earlier. peavy has single-handedly made me like the padres. well, khalil greene didn't hurt.
