    SuperNut: :D

Angels are God's servants and messengers. They are spirit, but can be embodied in flesh if need be. They do not accept praise or adoration, they always defer to God.

I believe in the existence of angels, but I do not worship them, pray to them, or depend on them to protect me or anyone I care about. I depend on God for that. :)

Angels work for God not us, right?

We are equal to Angels just like men and women are equal in God's eyes, we just have different jobs to do.

I don't believe in angels in the traditional sense, but angels do have some pretty cool names. I like Dommiel, Uriel and Samael. That last one sounds kinda like Dr. Seuss...

I do not want to go to Hell

    hahahahahahahahahaha! ha! Woo!
Geez, I crack myself up. :D

    Exactly. :)

I think an argument could be made that we might be even more valuable to God than angels. Jesus didn't go to the cross for them. And if I'm not mistaken, that's Satan's whole problem with people -- that God chose them over him.

Oh, I think there are both angels and demons around from time to time. At least, the Bible would suggest as much. But I haven't read anything in the Bible or anywhere else that substantiates the notion that we each have a guardian angel. I'm not saying angels haven't been assigned to protect people throughout history. In fact, I think at one point in the Bible, the archangel Michael is assigned to protect Israel. But I don't know if that's ongoing, or just a temporary assignment. Considering Israel's modern history, I'd lean toward temporary.

One thing the Bible is clear about, however, is that people do not become angels when they die. In fact, I think there might only be one instance cited in the Bible of anyone ever 'coming back' in spiritual form after they died and communicating with living people.

We all have 'someone looking out for us'. But it's probably not an angel or a lost loved one. It's God.

that's a difficult concept for most humans -- that the most powerful person has a specific interest in them and takes time out of his busy day to lookout for them. like the CEO of a billion-dollar company being there to help the janitor clean toliets.
